Eligibility requirements for the role of PTI vehicle mechanic include:

  • Ability to pass intelligence testing
  • Five or more years of hands-on diesel-mechanic experience
  • Proven track record as a responsible employee
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Good analytical skills and the ability to organize, plan and manage time efficiently
  • Ability to make independent decisions as required
  • Ability to prioritize and the flexibility to continually reprioritize while handling multiple responsibilities
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a harmonious manner
  • Some familiarity with computers and the willingness and ability to learn how to populate the Fleet Management database
  • Flexibility to accommodate up to 45 percent traveling
